Realscreen unveiled the roster of industry trailblazers who will play a pivotal role in guiding the judging process and shaping the trajectory of the 2025 Realscreen Awards. The 15th annual ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Miami InterContinental Hotel, as part of the 27th edition of the Realscreen Summit.
Joining the industry’s global celebration of excellence in non-fiction and unscripted entertainment as jury chairs for 2025 are Anaϊs Baker, Head of Global Formats, Amazon MGM Studios; Wes Dening, Head of Global Formats, Eureka; Jennifer Dettman, Executive Director, Unscripted Content, CBC; Sean Doyle, Director, Unscripted, Disney+; Syeda Irtizaali, Editor, Unscripted Commissioning, BBC; Susie Jones, Head, Factual, ABC Australia; and Yasmin Rawji, EVP, Unscripted - Network, Fox Entertainment. The chairs will join close to 150 executives working across the international non-fiction and unscripted screen content industry, who will comprise the category juries for the awards program.
The deadline for entries for the 2025 Realscreen Awards is September 6, 2024. The upcoming edition will also be the first to feature new categories for Talent, spotlighting outstanding hosts, presenters, and ensemble casts across factual and reality programming.
Realscreen EVP Mary Maddever praised the jury: "Once again, we are so pleased to have the participation of a truly global jury for the Realscreen Awards, chaired by such esteemed executives. Also, as we always endeavor to incorporate industry feedback to evolve the program, given the immense impact of presenters, hosts, and ensemble casts, talent categories are now part of the awards program," stated.
Established in 2010, the Realscreen Awards will mark 15 years of recognizing outstanding non-fiction and unscripted content from around the world. Winners will be honored in 23 genre-specific categories as the best across Competition, Lifestyle, Non-fiction, Reality, and Talent, with five Awards of Excellence also bestowed.
