SkyShowtime to launch "The Curse" at Stockholm International Film Festival

The first five episodes of the SkyShowtime Original series will be available to stream on the premiere day, 5 January, with the remaining five episodes scheduled to arrive on Friday 16 February.

SkyShowtime has confirmed the launch date of "The Curse" to be Friday, 5 January ahead of an exclusive screening at Stockholm International Film Festival. The first five episodes of the SkyShowtime Original series will be available to stream on the premiere day, with the remaining five episodes arriving on Friday 16 February.

Co-created, co-written and executive produced by Benny Safdie and Nathan Fielder, "The Curse" is a co-production of SHOWTIME and A24. Fielder also serves as a director. Emma Stone executive produces alongside Dave McCary and Ali Herting through their Fruit Tree banner. Josh Safdie also executive produces through their Elara banner. SkyShowtime is available direct-to-consumer via the SkyShowtime app across Apple iOS, tvOS, Android devices, Android TV, Google Chromecast, LG TV, Samsung, and through the website.

"The Curse" stars Emma Stone, Fielder and Safdie. Guest stars include Oscar nominee Barkhad Abdi, Emmy® nominee Corbin Bernsen and Constance Shulman. The series centers on Whitney and Asher Siegel, a newlywed couple struggling to bring their vision for eco-conscious housing to the small community of Española, New Mexico. Their efforts are complicated when an eccentrically flawed reality TV producer, Dougie, sees opportunity in their story. As the series unfolds, the couple find themselves caught in a mysterious web of ethical and moral gray zones - all while trying to keep their relationship afloat.
