South Series Festival confirms its first international attendees

The White Lotus' soundtrack composer Cristóbal Tapia de Veer; as well as Birdman's screenwriter Armando Bó, and the British producer Gail Egan, will be in the first edition of the Cadiz festival.

The new audiovisual market South International Series Festival has revealed the first international attendees to its first edition that will be held in Cadiz (Spain) from October 7 to 12. Chilean-Canadian composer Cristóbal Tapia de Veer ("The White Lotus", "Black Mirror"); Argentine screenwriter Armando Bo ("The President", "Birdman"); and British Gail Egan, CEO of Oscar-nominated Potboiler Productions, have already been confirmed.

Egan is part of a delegation of British professionals who will lead the focus activities in the United Kingdom, the guest country of this edition. Director Chino Moya ("Undergods"), London-based producer Antonio Salas and veteran TV executive Michael Murphy, who has just produced the documentary on "Nick Cave Mutiny in Heaven on the Birthday Party", will also participate in the program.

South Series also focuses on Africa in this edition and a large representation of industry professionals will arrive in Cadiz to share their business vision. The African delegation will be headed by Moses Babadope, Nigerian producer and distributor, Mimi Bartels, production director of FilmOne Studios, a company specialized in distribution and production of Nigerian film content, showrunner James Omokwe ("Ajoche", "Riona") and Femi Odugbemi, CEO of Zuri 24 Media, audiovisual content production company.

This program is complemented by panels, conferences and speakers whose content seeks to promote exchange and enrichment between Spanish professionals and those from the countries participating in this first edition. In order to promote the internationalization of the audiovisual sector, several specific actions will be organized focused on different regions, such as Israel, one of the best positioned audiovisual markets worldwide.

South Series will be attended by Israeli producers Reshev Levi and Yoav Gross. France, Korea, Saudi Arabia or Italy will be other countries that will be the players in these specific actions with representatives of their industry.
