According to a recent survey conducted by research firm, J.D. Power, Netflix Inc.'s number of streaming problems per hour of video watched went beyond that of Walt Disney Co.’s Hulu and Disney+, as well as Amazon.com Inc.’s Prime Video and Google’s YouTube TV. The platform's customers are also reporting fewer service problems than those of rival platforms. The results serve as an indication that Netflix is undergoing a massive surge in demand with few inconveniences.

Despite most leading services scoring well, 60% of the survey's 1,232 respondents said in Late April that if they had to pick one streaming service, it would be Netflix. The firm found that the most popular shows on streaming platforms were Netflix’s “Ozark” and “Tiger King” in first and second place, with “The Office,” which will soon be offered on Peacock as well, coming in third.

The research's numbers reflect Netflix as the most "reliable platform," with customers only reporting .07 glitches and other problems per hour while watching, with Hulu and Amazon Prime video following at .11, Disney+ at .12, Youtube TV at .13, and other platforms at 0.17.

Considering its popularity, when regions all around the globe began enforcing stay-at-home restrictions in March, there were concerns that Netflix would strain under the pressure. The company took an initiative to lower the quality of video streams in Europe and other areas to aid congestion, which worked well.
