As the undisputed pioneer in AI-driven live captioning and translations, SyncWords is transforming accessibility and localization for global audiences. Its recent launch on AWS Marketplace makes accessing these state-of-the-art solutions easier than ever for AWS customers. “We are fully compatible with the AWS Elemental ecosystem, supporting workflows like HLS via MediaLive and MediaPackage, as well as SRT (ref. Secure Reliable Transport) through MediaConnect,” explained Olga Kuryshko, Marketing Director at the company to Señal News. Notably, she also mentioned that SyncWords is the only player offering live AI dubbing (aka voice translations) for SRT streams.

“Our technology is designed to simplify and streamline existing workflows, not disrupt them,” Kuryshko emphasized. “Whether you’re using AWS, Wowza, Dacast, or virtually any live-streaming platform, we can set up multilingual translations in minutes. From instant text and voice translations in over 100 languages and dialects to seamless support for concurrent live streaming and dual-pipeline configurations when needed, we ensure efficiency at every step,” she added.

EMPOWERING BROADCASTERS AND OTT TO EXPAND AND MONETIZE
AI-driven captioning and dubbing have come a long way. What started as a cost-saving measure is now a strategic driver of audience and revenue growth, especially for the live video. “GenAI-powered live subtitling and voice translations are no longer just about minimizing expenses - it’s about unlocking new markets, driving subscriptions, amplifying ad impressions, and maximizing revenue through regional channel licensing and distribution,” underlined the executive.

The results speak for themselves. Newsmax leveraged SyncWords’ AI-powered live dubbing to launch a 24/7 Spanish stream, capturing the Latin American market and skyrocketing viewership in just a few months. Olga also mentioned CNN and Bloomberg TV as the clients tapping into SyncWords’ innovative technology to enhance their offerings.

The executive highlighted that SyncWords played a pivotal role in broadcasting live sports from the Olympics and Paralympics in five languages for a major OTT platform in Australia. Additionally, its high-end AI solutions were used across all four Grand Slam tournaments.

NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR BROADCASTERS AND OTT
“In today's streaming-dominated world, retaining audiences and reaching new markets is crucial for TV networks", Kuryshko stressed. "The growing trend of broadcasters developing their own OTT platforms is no accident - it's a strategic move to stay competitive", she continued. "Our solutions are the perfect fit for this transformation. SyncWords is industry-agnostic, offering live automated captioning, subtitling, and audio dubbing for broadcast TV networks, OTT platforms, and streaming providers. Beyond effective localization, our technology unlocks new, untapped monetization opportunities,” she added.

INNOVATING FOR THE FUTURE
Looking ahead to 2025, SyncWords has ambitious plans to redefine accessibility and localization in the live-streaming industry. The company aims to deepen its partnership with AWS, expand its adoption among leading broadcasters and OTT platforms worldwide, and continue driving technological innovation.

What’s on the horizon? The next big thing for SyncWords is real-time gender identification and speaker change, Kuryshko revealed. “With over 900 voices in our library, we already offer unmatched customization. But imagine assigning voices dynamically during live streams, seamlessly switching between male and female speakers. This will all happen in real-time, and it’s going to transform the way live localization is perceived!,” Kuryshko affirmed.

SyncWords’ vision is clear: to empower broadcasters and streamers with innovative tools that enhance accessibility and localization for live video, ultimately boosting viewership, and driving monetization. “It’s about creating a win-win strategy,” Kuryshko accentuated. “From licensing channels in multiple languages and expanding market reach to attracting premium sponsorships, and driving subscription growth, SyncWords' solutions are designed to maximize profitability and deliver measurable impact,” she concluded.
