In its latest study about SVOD demand in Argentina, Parrot Analytics revealed which were the most outstanding series in the country during December. The company contextualized each title within the market by stating the show's performance as different from the average demand for a series in the market. A difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is ten times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.

The most in-demand digital original in Argentina for the final month of the year was “Hawkeye” from Disney+. The live action Marvel series from Disney+ have topped the rankings across the world this year, and strong demand for “Hawkeye” shows that the Marvel machine has not lost its momentum. “Hawkeye” had 13.8 times the average series demand in Argentina in December, when it released its final episode. Disney has built franchise synergies with both Marvel and Star Wars. “The Mandalorian” had high demand in December ahead of the release of “The Book of Boba Fett” at the end of the month.

Amazon Prime Video's “The Wheel of Time” fell short of taking the top spot in Argentina in December. While it had an exceptionally strong premiere in the United States, “Hawkeye” has had higher demand in most other countries over the course of its season. Another Amazon original did do uniquely well in Argentina however: “Maradona: Blessed Dream” had 9.16 times the average show demand in the country, which is the home of the soccer legend.

Netflix just made it into the top 5 digital originals for the month with “La Casa de Papel,” which had 10.84 times the average series demand. The final season of the global hit was released on December 3, 2021.
