German TV entertainment aggregator M7 Deutschland announced the launch of a new a subscription video-on-demand service in addition to its TV channel portfolio.
Canal+ Group and its Luxembourg-based subsidiary M7 Group exercised their call option on the 30% of shares in SPI International that they do not already own, resulting in the total 100% ownership of the group.
Subscribers of M7 Group’s TV platforms in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania will get access to robust, enriched VOD content related to the flagship channels of AMC, JimJam, Minimax, Spektrum, and TV Paprika.
Through the deal expansion, over 200 channel operators will have access to M7 services and content rights. In addition, various pay-TV packages will over a new Ultra HD channel free of charge.
