Produced by Norway’s Teddy TV ("Kjære Mor", "Petter Uteligger"), "Skolebytte" (translated as School Switch) is a five-part series that brings together 24 ninth graders (ages 14–15) from two culturally different schools located on opposite sides of Oslo.
Premiering in 2026, the 10-part series follows 10 young chefs competing in a high-pressure kitchen under Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, blending food, drama, and personal stakes in a hybrid competition-reality format.
UK viewers spent an average of 39 minutes daily on YouTube in 2024, with TV-set viewing nearly doubling among over-55s and one in five children now turning to YouTube first when the TV is switched on.
