Monello Productions started development for "Pikky & Rhino" New Series

Monello Productions, part of Banijay Kids & Family, today announced the development of its new original animation, "Pikky & Rhino". The series, created by Cécile Sady and Ahmed Guerrouache, with Giorgio Welter and Cécile Sady as Producers, will be pitched at this year’s Cartoon Forum (12:30, Wednesday 17 September – Blue Room).

Founded in September 2013, the Paris-based studio, run by Giorgio Welter and Cécile Sady, has produced internationally successful series including "Max and Maestro", "Street Football", "Marblegen", "When I Was Your Age", "Hello Kitty: Super Style!", "Chimera Keepers: Adventures with Incredible Creatures", and "Froggie".

Blending cartoon humor with rich visual storytelling, "Pikky & Rhino" explores themes of loyalty, interdependence, and friendship through the lens of two unlikely companions living on the savannah. Aimed at children aged 6–9, the series centers on the special bond between Pikky, an energetic little bird, and Rhino, his gentle best friend. From his perch on Rhino’s back, Pikky keeps his buddy clean and tidy, while Rhino provides Pikky with safety, snacks, and steadfast companionship. Their relationship is symbiotic, but above all, it is deeply emotional, built on trust and devotion. A playful tension arises as other animals on the plains grow envious of Pikky’s talents and the duo’s perfect arrangement. Each episode follows the pair as they navigate these challenges, reinforcing the value of true friendship in the face of temptation and rivalry.
