Escallon-Buraglia, who has a long track record of success producing films, documentaries, and unscripted content, most recently served as showrunner for Endemol Shine Boomdog’s hit series “Los 50” for Telemundo.
The streaming service already plays a key role in growing the championship, with its seventh series of the "Drive to Survive" documentary series airing on 7 March.
The strategic partnership will see BBC Studios support Samphire’s ambitious growth plans for new channel and platform-defining premium documentary and constructed factual brands, taking first look global distribution and format rights.
SA has already secured sales to Channel 5 / Paramount+ in the UK and Bell Media, Canada (both French and English-speaking markets) for the series, which aired on "Peacock" in the US in November 2024.
