The Scottish media company has issued a profit warning as commissioning and advertising markets continue to weaken. Despite challenges, STV remains committed to its strategic transformation and long-term goals.
Davidson will work closely with Founder and CEO Eline van der Velden to drive the company’s ambitious expansion plans both in the UK and internationally. He will lead commercial strategy, developing scalable models and pricing structures that maximize the company’s creative talent and its proprietary AI tools for production and workflow management.
The series is produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures for CTV (Canada) and The CW (US) and it was acquired by multiple buyers, including in the UK and Ireland.
"Christmas at Lapland UK", "Alpine Train at Christmas" and "Secrets of the Christmas Market" are produced for Channel 4 by Motion Entertainment, a WPP company.
Steve North, currently Chief Programming Officer, will assume the newly created role of Chief Content Officer to oversee overall content strategy, whilst Hilary Rosen will assume the creative lead for UKTV’s originations.
