Eline van der Velden & Tom Davidson
Award-winning, next-generation UK indie Particle6, founded by Eline van der Velden, has announced that industry veteran Tom Davidson has joined the company as its first Chief Commercial Officer, following a successful period as a consultant.
With over 30 years in the international television industry, Davidson has held key executive positions including General Manager of Sony Pictures Networks and Managing Director of A+E Networks UK. He played a pivotal role in launching and scaling major players such as HBO in Central Europe, Sony Pictures Networks in Central Europe and Russia, and significantly expanded A+E Networks' footprint across EMEA.
For the past decade, he has led Niche Media Global, a London-based consultancy whose clients have included ITV, UKTV, and PBS. As CCO of Particle6, Davidson will work closely with Founder and CEO Eline van der Velden to drive the company’s ambitious expansion plans both in the UK and internationally. He will lead commercial strategy, developing scalable models and pricing structures that maximize the company’s creative talent and its proprietary AI tools for production and workflow management.
Davidson reflected on this new chapter and the company’s forward-looking vision:“During my time consulting for Particle6, I was hugely impressed by Eline and her team, and their vision for the future,” he said. “She’s grown the company by proactively embracing the extraordinary opportunities presented by AI. As a result, Particle6 has become a go-to resource for industry support and has already launched several innovative AI-led projects—both independently and in collaboration with others.
