The company saw a big drop in advertising sales, in both Italy and Spain, following the introduction of restrictive lockdown measures but they expect the situation improves in the following months.
Italy’s top commercial broadcaster said it was open to settling a long-running dispute with its second largest shareholder Vivendi, but any potential deal would have to include compensation.
The company announced it through a statement addressed to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), expressing that it considers it "unfeasible for technical reasons."
Mediaset wants to use the new entity to build alliances with some of its partners in Europe. Earlier this year, Vivendi filed a petition that was subsequently rejected and then appealed.
