Fifteen disabled creators across seven projects have been selected for scripted comedy/drama and kids streams and will participate at the CBC initiative for Creators with a Disability.
The agreements were a combination of newer factual shows and new seasons of returning brands. Some of the buyers were Paramount+, A+E Network’s Crime+Investigation, Sky, and Channel 4.
Top women executives from across the unscripted and non-fiction screen entertainment industry sign on to take part. The goal: to bring more women creators into the non-fiction ecosystem and have more diverse voices crafting content.
The deal features more than 60 hours of stand-out drama, including BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning "Wolf Hall," Steven Knight’s high-octane series "This Town," "The Hardacres," "Marie Antoinette," "The Sixth Commandment" and "My Mad Fat Diary."
