Cineflix Rights has closed a raft of deals with various UK broadcasters for scripted and factual content covering true crime and history.

Paramount+ has acquired crime dramas "Girl in the Video" (1x90’, ITN Productions for Lifetime, US), a gripping tale of abduction, survival, and rescue in which a mother joins forces with a FBI investigator and local detective to track down her daughter; together with "Abducted off the Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story" (1x90’, Cineflix Productions for Lifetime, US) chronicling Carlesha’s battle to survive, outsmarting her captor by leaving a trail that would lead to her rescue.

On the factual front, Cineflix Rights has presold new true crime series "Spring Break Murders" (20x60’, for A+E Networks, UK and Bell Media, Canada) to A+E Network’s Crime+Investigation. The series highlights how every year, millions of students and young adults migrate to holiday resorts and decompress in a first brush with independence. But for some, it will be their last great adventure.

A+E Network’s Crime+Investigation has also picked up "Somebody’s Hiding Something" (Season 2, 20x60’, C3 Media for Bell Media, Canada and A+E Networks, UK) where viewers join detectives as they search for that one person who holds the vital piece of evidence that can solve the case and convict the killer.

Sky has acquired "Murder Uncut" (10x60’, Law&Crime Productions for True Crime Network, US) which takes viewers behind the scenes of homicide investigations where body, surveillance, and cellphone cams were critical to cracking the case.

Channel 4 has bought returning series "RPA: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital" (Seasons 1&2, 18x60’, McAvoy Media for Nine Network, Australia), following the medics at one of Australia’s top hospitals, and "Killer Cases" (Season 4, 30x60’, Law&Crime Productions for True Crime Network, US) which weaves together first-hand interviews and gripping footage from some of America’s most chilling murder trials.

Sandra Piha, SVP, Sales, Pan-Regional, UK, Eire, and Scandinavia, Cineflix Rights who brokered the deals emphasized the quality and popularity of the catalog: “We are building up our scripted features and movies slate so it’s great to see these latest sales to UK broadcasters. Along with deals for some of our newer factual shows and new seasons of returning brands, these sales demonstrate our catalogue’s enduring popularity," noted.
