The Vice President, Global Distribution at The Jim Henson Company, describes its new responsibility at the company, which includes overseeing sales of all forms of media across TV, cable, home video, and theatrical in all territories.
The company has completed the acquisition of Multimedia Polska for an undisclosed fee and, by doing so, it has become the largest cable operator in Poland in terms of subscriber numbers, overtaking Liberty Global’s UPC Polska.
Beginning this month, subscribers of The Cable in St. Kitts will be able to enjoy HBO’s award-winning content as part of their offering of channels. The agreement also includes Cinemax, Sony, AXN and Warner Channel.
Carmi Zlotnik is leaving the company after a decade with the premium cabler to “pursue new creative endeavors”. He will consult with Starz to support the transition.
Jeff Shell, currently Chairman of NBCUniversal Film and Entertainment, is considered the leading contender to succeed Burke in the role. Another potential candidate is Mark Lazarus, Chairman of Broadcast, Cable, Sports and News.
