On one hand, it has ordered a pilot for "DMV" from Dana Klein. On the other, it has set up a development room for a vampire comedy from the "Ghosts" showrunners.
The new initiative, supported by European content house Beta Group, aims to support creatives through the process of developing new scripted series with the help of veteran directors, show runners, writers, and producers.
The new teen and family series, "Degrassi: The Next Generation Library" produced by WildBrain alongside Showrunners Lara Azzopardi and Julia Cohen, will feature 10 hour-long episodes. The project will debut in 2023.
After achieving success for recent productions such as “Veneno,” sold to HBO Max in the U.S., and Netflix pickup “Paquita Salas,” the executives created the venture in hopes of pushing out more content and showcasing new talent.
