secures rights for 18 factual titles which together total 49 hours of content and will air on Viasat History or Viasat Nature in the coming months across Baltics, Scandinavia, CEE and Russia & CIS.
Comprising of seven new titles at 18 hours, Viasat World has taken exclusive pay TV and VOD rights -including catch up and SVOD- for some high calibre factual programmes from its global content distribution partner ZDF Enterprises.
The company has concluded a major deal with Viasat World’s Epic Drama channel for “Dead Still,” which will see the Irish-Canadian production having a pay TV premiere on October 10 across CEE, CIS, Baltics, Malta and Turkey.
The multi-year deal will see Viasat and More TV acquire a selection of Fremantle’s world-class new premium shows and library programming in 2020 and over the coming years.
In Europe, Mediawan Rights has acquired the series for French-speaking markets; Movistar has bought it for Spain; YLE has picked up the show for Finland; and Viasat World will air it in Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
