Under the terms of the deal, Universal Music Publishing Group will work with Banijay Brands (Banijay’s extensive brand and commercial arm), which has a portfolio spanning some of the world’s most recognizable shows.
The agreement comprises all DCD Media assets, which include September Films, RIZE USA and DCD Rights, which has a catalogue of more than 3.500 hours of programming across drama, entertainment, factual and music.
Production for the new Jimmy Fallon and NBC’s all-star music competition series adaptation, set to be produced by TF1 Productions in collaboration with the format's original creator, Universal Television Alternative Studio, is scheduled to begin next year.
The projects featured in the deal, which include "Buying Blind," "Don’t Stop the Music," "Meat the Family," "The Taste," and "Block Out" will in various countries across the region, as well as other locations worldwide.
