The continent OTT movie and TV episode revenues will reach $1.725 million by 2026 – up from $392 million in 2020. South Africa will contribute a third of the region’s revenues, with Nigeria bringing in a further fifth, according to Digital TV Research.

The company’s account figure spiked by 39% in 2020, with total streaming hours surging by 55% at 17 billion. Approximately 61.8 million U.S. viewers had access to the channel during the fourth quarter of 2020.
