The 59th MipTV event will feature cross-over sessions intended to unite games publishers and developers, teams and leagues, VCs and investors, broadcast and media service providers and consumer brand partners to establish network in the field of metaverse, which is projected to generate a large sum of revenue in the future.
The industry is expected to reach 60 million pay TV subscribers by 2027, representing a decline of over 50%. IPTV and digital sets will also experience declines, while pay-tv-less households are projected to rise.
Distributors, studios, buyers and producers, spanning more than 30 countries, have to date confirmed their presence in Cannes for the new-look event, taking place on April 4-6, 2022.
Following last year's MIPTV consisting of more than 4500 delegates, the event will feature Co-Chairman, and Co-CEO of Candle Media, Kevin Mayer, and Co-Founder and CEO of Moonbug Entertainment, René Rechtman, among various others.
