In Europe, the series has previously been licensed to Disney+ and RTP2 in Portugal, Filmin (Spain), NPO (the Netherlands),TV Nova (Czech Republic), Sýn hf (Iceland), DR (Denmark), NRK 1 (Norway) and YLE (Finland).
The 6 x 60’ 4K action drama, currently in pre-production, has been commissioned by a major US Network, with Anthony Appell from Escapade concluding deals for streaming service Crave – Canada, NRK – Norway, SVT – Sweden, YLE – Finland and DR – Denmark, with additional major territories in negotiation.
Norway’s NRK, Singapore’s Mediacorp and Quebec’s Radio Canada are the latest broadcasters to commission local versions of the show. The show is about to broadcast in Sweden on SVT1 (produced by Fremantle’s Baluba), Ireland on Virgin Media Television (produced by Kite Entertainment).
Netherlands, Finland and Norway latest markets onboard, with EndemolShine Nederland, Banijay Finland and Mastiff Norway producing for RTL, MTV and TV 2, respectively.
Following its successful launch on HBO in the U.S. and Channel 4 in the UK, the documentary has been sold in Australia, Norway, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Iberia, Poland, Italy, French speaking Europe and Africa, and Israel.
