The adoption of Smart TVs among US consumers has skyrocketed over the last few years, spurred onward by the pandemic and still maintaining that momentum, according to a new report from LG Ads Solutions.
The executive will be tasked with developing and distributing the next generation streaming platform, set to launch on various compatible 4K streaming devices and smart TVs.
According to Parks Associates, Sony showed clear growth among smart TVs purchased or received in the previous six months, compared to 2020, which pushed this brand past Vizio and into the top three.
50.4% of consumers who watch streaming content say their preferred device is a smart TV or connected TV. An additional 23.5% say they prefer to watch on a TV equipped with an external smart device, according to tvScientific’s latest report.
