Nickelodeon has struck a multiplatform deal with James Corden and Ben Winston, and their production company Fulwell 73, to produce an animated movie and TV series based on the recently released children’s book title.
The new CG-animated theatrical release is Nickelodeon Animation Studio’s first-ever CG theatrical production. The release will occur through a partnership with Ramsey Naito and Point Grey Pictures’ Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver.
Co-produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and SmartStudy, the 2D-animated series (26 half-hour episodes) to Debut with Brand-New Original Holiday Special this December.
In Mexico it will launch pet food from the hand of the Winner brand with the image of “Paw Patrol”; and in Colombia, Grupo Éxito stores will have the new “SpongeBob” clothing collection.
The former Warner Bros. and Freeform expert will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of live-action physical production for Nickelodeon brands, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., TeenNick and Nicktoons, and for Gen Z-focused brand, Awesomeness.
