The former Warner Bros. and Freeform expert will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of live-action physical production for Nickelodeon brands, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., TeenNick and Nicktoons, and for Gen Z-focused brand, Awesomeness.
The partnership forms part of Nickelodeon’s strategy to expand its growing portfolio of popular shows. "The Smurfs" is slated to be released in 2021, followed by its debut on Nickelodeon channels around the world.
Spiral International has secured a pan-regional deal with Nickelodeon Latin America for the CGI animated series, which will debut this August in Spanish and Portuguese on Nick Jr. Latin America’s premium edutainment app.
