Produced by Belfast-based Stellify Media, "Titanic Sinks Tonight" (working title) aims to tell the astonishing story of the Titanic's sinking in real time. The title is made with support from Northern Ireland Screen with international funding from the series being provided by SPT, ARTE and SBS (Australia).
The successful candidates receive a one-year programme of education and development designed to fast-track their understanding of the global television-content business.
The shows are the thriller "Reunion" and two additional six-part series of the Belfast-based police drama "Blue Lights." Both will be available on BBC One and Player.
The sales deals for the crime drama were made with the BBC in the UK, which is set to air the fast-paced drama early next month, as well as SBS in Australia, Stan in Australia, Acorn TV in New Zealand, TV4 in Sweden and TV2 in Norway.
De Jesus is the third key creative to join Rare TV in the last six months. In May, story consultant and executive producer Greg Chivers was appointed as US showrunner, while development producer Abigail Keyes joined the company’s Belfast-based team.
