The 2025 edition will feature 55 sessions, nearly 100 speakers, and the largest-ever international delegation in Spain, with over 50 companies from France and Canada. Regional impact is also growing, with 57 productions already filmed in Castilla-La Mancha this year.

In 2022, 88% of European TV and SVOD adaptations were based on local works, with novels accounting for 42% of source material. France, Germany, and Italy each saw over 80% of their adaptations drawn from domestic IP.

The organization evaluated a total of 438 projects from 39 different countries, representing a 38% increase compared to last year. A breakdown by continent shows that 68% come from European countries (led by Portugal, France, Ukraine, and Italy, in addition to Spain), 31% are from the Americas (with Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico leading), and the remaining 1% originated from Asia.

Judith Light, known for her extensive body of work onstage as well as in television and film, will preside as President of the Fiction Jury. Meanwhile, journalist, director, presenter, and producer Mireille Dumas will serve as President of the News and Documentaries Jury.

A major development this year is NATPE Budapest’s partnership with Realscreen, the global authority in the non-fiction and unscripted space, to deliver an expanded Formats track specifically designed for the market realities facing CEE producers.
