Miramax TV and Atlantique Productions, a Mediawan company based in France, will reinvent the modern and charming fairytale, drawing from the film and additional novels written by Harris, which provide a new reservoir of material.
Production is set to begin in Istanbul in April. The series will premiere on Paramount+ in 2023 in all markets where the service is available. Outside of the markets where Paramount+ is available, the series will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
The expansion includes the company’s decision to hire former ITV Studios, Miramax, Sky, and Fox Network Group members. Several premium titles are set to be presented at the Scripted Showcase event on 17 May.
AMC Networks has acquired the rights to the sophisticated, 6-part spy thriller series “Spy City,” which was produced by Leonine Studios’ production banner Odeon Fiction and Miramax TV.
The detective series is set in modern-day Istanbul and it is based on the CWA Silver Dagger Winning 21-novel series titled “The Cetin Ikmen Crime Novels” by Barbara Nadel.
