BBC Primetime will reach 13 million homes in South Africa, marking BBC Studios’ widest reaching branded service in EMEA. Its first hand-crafted content block in Africa will be available on SABC3 weeknights between 21:00-23:00.
The title previously aired on June last year on free-to-air channel SABC and was licensed to Showmax. It will join a slate of over 4,000 other formats.
World famous soap opera “Yo Soy Betty, La Fea” has traveled to South African channel SABC 1, where is now on air from Monday to Wednesday, and is part of the digital content platform VIU. The local adaptation is entitled “uBettina Wethu”.
The network will air the series on its free-to-air channel, SABC 2, which reaches over 90% of the public, giving viewers access to more than 270 episodes. It will air weekdays at 5 p.m..
