The epic fantasy, produced by Constantin Film and distributed internationally by Fremantle, adapts Wolfgang Hohlbein’s Hagen von Tronje and will premiere with its first two episodes on September 14 ahead of its Movistar Plus+ debut.

The film is directed by Daniel Hendler and stars Pilar Gamboa, Sergio Prina, and Alberto Wolf. It was produced by Micaela Solé (Cordón Films – Uruguay), in co-production with Ezequiel Borovinsky (Wanka Cine – Argentina) and Jorge Moreno and Luis Collar (Nephillim Producciones – Spain).

The limited series, based on DR Drama’s acclaimed original, is produced by Colman’s South of the River and will stream on Hulu, marking another international-format investment by FX amid strong demand for prestige limited dramas.

The “Chicago” franchise alone has generated nearly $500 million for streamers in the U.S. and Canada since 2020. Peacock now leads all platforms with over $300 million in revenue from Dick Wolf’s titles.

The renowned producer will strengthen the management team around Wolfgang Cimera and Lasse Scharpen. He will assume responsibility for the Hamburg location and thus for successful programmes such as ‘Solo für Weiss’ and ‘In Wahrheit’.
