The Uruguayan feature film "Un Cabo Suelto" ("A Loose End"), directed by Daniel Hendler, was announced as one of the titles selected for the Venice Spotlight section of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. The festival is recognized as one of the world's oldest and most prestigious film events.

It was produced in Uruguay by Micaela Solé (Cordón Films – Uruguay), in co-production with Ezequiel Borovinsky (Wanka Cine – Argentina) and Jorge Moreno and Luis Collar (Nephillim Producciones – Spain).
The Venice International Film Festival, organized by the Venice Biennale, will take place from August 27 to September 6, 2025. The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote international cinema in all its forms—as art, entertainment, and industry—in a spirit of freedom and dialogue.
This participation represents a significant recognition of Uruguayan cinema and reflects the growth of the country's film sector in recent decades. Uruguay has developed a solid ecosystem for film production, supported by highly qualified professionals, sustained public policies to promote and incentivize the industry, and a strong commitment to international co-productions.
