The Roma-Lazio Film Commission participates in the Venice International Film Festival

Around 14 Italian films supported by funds from the Lazio Region will be participating at the 78th Festival, in the various sections and collateral reviews.

Roma Lazio Film Commission participates in the 78th Venice International Film Festival, from 1 to 11 September, with activities and initiatives for the audiovisual sector. The presentation "Lazio Land of Cinema - The Lazio Region For Cinema And Audiovisual" will be held on Saturday 4 September at 4.00 pm, in the spaces of the Italian Pavilion, at the Hotel Excelsior, a meeting dedicated to illustrating the initiatives of the Lazio Region in support of the sector with a focus on regional funds. The meeting will be moderated by Enrico Magrelli and will see the participation of representatives of the production, associative and institutional sector of cinema and audiovisuals. The presentation will also be broadcast online on the website www.italianpavilion.it.

14 films supported by funds from the Lazio Region are present at the 78th Festival, in the various sections and collateral reviews. Three films in the official selection in competition: "Freaks Out" by Gabriele Mainetti, produced by Goon Films, Lucky Red and Rai Cinema, "Qui rido io" by Mario Martone, an Italy - Spain co-production produced by Indigo Film with Rai Cinema in co-production with Tornasol,14 films supported by funds from the Lazio Region are present at the 78th Festival, in the various sections and collateral reviews.

Three films in the official selection in competition: "Freaks Out" by Gabriele Mainetti, produced by GoonFilms, Lucky Red and Rai Cinema, "Qui rido io" by Mario Martone, an Italy - Spain co-production produced by Indigo Film with Rai Cinema in co-production with Tornasol, works made with the support of Lazio Cinema International; "Il Buco" by Michelangelo Frammartino, produced by Doppio Nodo Double Bind with Rai Cinema with the support of the Regional Fund for Cinema and Audiovisual. In the Official Selection, but out of Competition, there are "Ariaferma - The Inner Cage" by Leonardo Di Costanzo, produced by Tempesta Film with Rai Cinema, "The Catholic School" by Stefano Mordini, produced by Warner Bros. Entertainment Italia and Picomedia, works created with the support of the Regional Fund for Cinema and Audiovisual, and the closing film “The hidden child” by Roberto Andò, produced by Bibi Film Tv with Rai Cinema, winner of the Lazio Cinema International Call.

On the other hand, in the Horizons Section, in competition, "Il paradiso del pavone" by Laura Bispuri, produced by Vivo Film with Rai Cinema, Match Factory Productions, winner of the Lazio Cinema International Call. The supported titles participating in the Giornate degli Autori are: "Isolation" directed by Michele Placido, Julia Von Heinz, Olivier Guerpillon, Jaco Van Dormael, Michael Winterbottom, a Notorious Pictures production, Tarantula, Maze Pictures, Monofilms, Reposado, Revolution Films, "A relationship" by Stefano Sardo, produced by Ascent Film and Nightswim, in co-production with La Onda, in collaboration with Amazon Exclusive and Rai Cinema, "Caveman" by Tommaso Landucci, produced by Doclab in co-production with Contrast Film Zurich, RSI and SRG SSR, “Il Palazzo” by Federica Di Giacomo, produced by Dugong Films with Rai Cinema in co-production with Mimesis, works supported by the Lazio Cinema International fund. "The great silence" by Alessandro Gassmann, produced by Paco Cinematografica, Vision Distribution, in collaboration with Amazon Prime, Sky Cinema, Rai Cinema and "Fellini and the shadow" by Catherine McGilvray, produced by Verdiana in association with Istituto Luce - Cinecittà , works with the support of the Regional Fund for Cinema and Audiovisual.

At SIC - International Critics' Week there will be Alessandro Celli's "Mondo Cane - Dogworld", produced by Greenland and Minerva with Rai Cinema, with the support of the Regional Fund for Cinema and Audiovisual.
