BBC News grew its global audience to 418 million people on average per week and remains the most trusted international news provider.

Six regional directors will be appointed to lead the following regions: Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Central and South Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa. The regional directors will be responsible for expanding audiences in their respective regions and establishing clear reporting structures for each of the BBC World Service’s 42 language services.

In the Netherlands, Poland, Africa, and the Nordics, BBC-branded channels achieved their highest-ever audience shares.

The move strengthens the BBC Studios and U-NEXT partnership to offer a wide range of content across multiple genres to Japanese audiences. Earlier this year BBC Studios and U-NEXT renewed their partnership to include beloved children’s programmes like Sarah and Duck and Go Jetters as well as English language learning series Yakka Dee.
