After three years leading global acquisitions and content strategy, Hurst departs following Blue Ant’s reverse takeover of Boat Rocker and its buy-out of Boat Rocker Studios, with plans to take a sabbatical in 2026.

Previously, Boat Rocker held a significant minority stake in Industrial Brothers, as well as having a first-look deal with the full-service animation studio, its co-production partner on "Dino Ranch" and its spinoff "Island Explorers."

Led by co-founders David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg alongside longtime partner John Young, Boat Rocker Studios will continue to operate under its existing leadership team and brand.
