The distributor has picked up the North American rights of detective series created by Emmy award-winning writer Mark Gatiss, who stars in the titular role.

The six-part crime procedural commences filming on location in Croatia and Italy and will be distributed by ITV Studios.

She was tapped as Director of Drama and will continue to develop and direct new dramas for the company, whilst also coming on board as executive producer for their growing slate.

As part of the deal, ITV Studios has also acquired a majority stake in the Belgium-based production services company Happy Duck, which services Eagle Eye’s global slate.

UKTV acquired UK premiere for second series of the Italian Riviera set historical drama on U and U&DRAMA. The first series will air in September, with series two following later in the year. The title will be available to stream for free on U.
