It´s a new spin-off of its hit tween dance drama. "The Next Step: Cheer" is produced and distributed globally by Boat Rocker Studios, which also manages global franchise development and consumer products for both "The Next Step" and "The Next Step: Cheer."

Previously, Boat Rocker held a significant minority stake in Industrial Brothers, as well as having a first-look deal with the full-service animation studio, its co-production partner on "Dino Ranch" and its spinoff "Island Explorers."

The title will be released in the U.S., UK, Canada, Japan, and Germany. Boat Rocker manages global franchise development, including content distribution and consumer products. Animation services for the spin-off series will be provided by Jam Filled Entertainment.

Welsh will lead Boat Rocker’s brand strategy and partnerships, licensing, and content marketing initiatives across the company’s scripted, unscripted, and kids & family studio divisions.

The changes will further streamline the studio's operations and allow the company to be an even more effective partner for content creators and buyers.
