From September 2025, Disney+ in Spain will feature over 300 Spanish-produced hours annually under the Atresplayer hub, nearly doubling its locally produced catalogue and aiming to reach young audiences in the under-34 demographic, according to Ampere and company statements.

The goal is to bring thousands of hours of local content to Disney+ customers. With this new collection, Disney+ expands its existing range of high-quality local content with selected ZDF programmes – licensed by ZDF Studios.

Disney+ will be the home of the UEFA Women’s Champions League across Europe from next season, allowing fans to watch every match live at no extra cost. The announcement follows a five-year deal in which The Walt Disney Company has secured live rights to the competition from 2025/26 to 2029/30.

Joining from Sky, the executive will take on the role in January 2025 and lead the regional team from London.
