Group revenues declined to €840 million in Q2, adjusted EBITDA dropped 40% to €55 million, but executives expect ad sales to rebound in H2 and reaffirm full-year guidance.

The company’s streaming platform Joyn continued its upward trajectory, with AVOD revenues jumping 25% and total viewing time surging 38%. Also, the entertainment segment saw a 3% rise in Q2 external revenues to €612 million, while the commerce and ventures segment posted a 17% increase to €197 million.

The company announced its fourth-quarter and full-year 2023 results and expects slight revenue growth and a positive development of entertainment advertising revenues in the German-speaking region in 2024.
