Mike Cavanagh, the company’s president, said on an earnings call that Comcast might transfer the cable networks owned by its NBCUniversal division—including Syfy, Bravo, and USA Network—into a new company.
The deal will give the three companies rights to telecast NBA games beginning with the 2025-26 season and running through the 2035-36 season. TNT Sports claims to have matched Amazon’s offer to keep the rights, yet the league said it did not.
Comcast’s new President Mike Cavanagh unveiled a significant revamp of the company’s senior management ranks, with Donna Langley, Mark Lazarus and Cesar Conde gaining significant promotions.
César Conde, quien actualmente está a cargo de NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC y NBC News Now, continuará en su cargo pero ampliará sus funciones para liderar NBCUniversal Local y Telemundo Enterprises.
