The NBA claimed that Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of Turner, tried to improperly modify the terms of Amazon's offer and then accept the altered terms.
The deal will give the three companies rights to telecast NBA games beginning with the 2025-26 season and running through the 2035-36 season. TNT Sports claims to have matched Amazon’s offer to keep the rights, yet the league said it did not.
While the agreements will now be sent to the league’s governors for approval, the confirmation of new contracts could be delayed if Warner matches rival offers in last attempt to retain rights.
