The move strengthens the BBC Studios and U-NEXT partnership to offer a wide range of content across multiple genres to Japanese audiences. Earlier this year BBC Studios and U-NEXT renewed their partnership to include beloved children’s programmes like Sarah and Duck and Go Jetters as well as English language learning series Yakka Dee.

BBC Studios has signed an agreement to list over 3.000 hours of its premium British content on the Vuulr online marketplace, with more being made available in the coming months.

The company has appointed Phil Hardman as SVP and General Manager for Asia, with a remit across the global distribution teams working in Singapore, Mumbai and Seoul.
