The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) announced that Kevin Beggs, the Television Group Chair of global content company Lionsgate, has been elected Chair of BANFF’s Board of Directors.

The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) is launching four months of premium online content from May to September that will connect the international media industry, ignite new projects and support business development.

The decision was discussed with the World Health Organization, as well as the Canadian and Albertan government and influenced by a reunion that addressed the Covid-19 Production Industry Taskforce. Participants who paid to attend the event will have the option to transfer their next registration to next year's event or receive a full refund.
