The production of the first series for Dutch public broadcaster NPO is in full swing following its commission last April.

The newly created Journalism, Documentary & Reportage unit will complement the existing Entertainment and Fiction division from January 2022, with Jan Rasmus joining as Executive Producer to develop and manage this new division.

It is Redseven Entertainment’s first production for the streaming provider in Germany. The eight, half-hour episodes will launch on Amazon Prime Video in Germany and Austria in late 2020.  

After the company saw a a tumbling share price drop from more than €14 at the start of the year to less than €7 now, the former CEO will be replaced by Chief Financial Officer, Rainer Beaujean. The broadcaster announced that it would change its strategic focus and concentrate on its efforts for entertainment programming.

The show follows couples in real-time on the most important day of their lives, as viewers watch them tie the knot and celebrate their extraordinary day with family and friends. “Deine Hochzeit – Live!” will premiere in prime time in 2020.
