The company reported a significant increase in its streaming subscribers, strong gains in TV advertising revenue, and a confirmation of its full-year outlook and long-term streaming targets.
Despite slight declines in Fremantle's global content business, the group signaled optimism for the projected €6.6 billion revenue for the year and continued investment in streaming and content production.
Subject to regulatory approvals and the consultation process with the respective works councils, the all-cash transaction is expected to close around mid-2024.
RTL Group announced its reviewed results for the six months ending June 30, 2023, revealing a continued strong growth of its streaming services RTL+ and Videoland, as paying subscribers were up 34.1% to 6 million.
