The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors has elected independent director Mark Parker as Chairman of the Board, effective following the Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
Iger has agreed to serve as Disney’s CEO for two years, with a mandate from the Board to set the strategic direction for renewed growth and work closely with it to develop a successor to lead the company.
A 14-year member of the Disney Board who has served as its independent Lead Director since 2018, Arnold will succeed Robert Iger as Chairman of the Board when he departs the company at the end of the year.
