"The Truth About My Murder"
AMC Networks International UK (AMCNI UK) has commissioned the second season of the Yeti Television's hit true crime series "The Truth About My Murder" (10x60’), which is set to air on channel True Crime (joint venture between AMCNI UK and Paramount Global) in early 2024.
Season 2 of "The Truth About My Murder" will once again see forensic pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd tackle ten complex murder cases, guiding the audience through each victim’s post-mortem to reveal the truth behind the horrific crimes they were subjected to.
From a state-of-the-art laboratory at Manchester Metropolitan University and with a ground-breaking technology called an Anatomage Table that uses digitally scanned sample bodies, the series follows Dr Shepherd as he investigates a series of murders where pathology played a leading role in solving the case and bringing the killers to justice.
Season 2 was commissioned by AMCNI UK’s Sam Rowden and Jess Rampling. The series was produced by Carole Lochhead, executive produced by Yeti’s Creative Director Sian Price, and the series is being distributed by Boat Rocker.
Sian Price, Creative Director at Yeti says “After the great response to Season One, we’re thrilled to be back with a second season and working with the wonderful Dr Shepherd once more. Dr Shepherd’s expertise demonstrates how science and pathology not only solves crimes but gives voice to the victims of crime. We are also proud that the series will help raise awareness of the behavioural ‘red flags’ we should all be alert to when it comes to the perpetrators of violent crime.”
Sam Rowden, VP, Content Group at AMCNI UK, says “'The Truth About My Murder' with Dr Richard Shepherd delivers an unparalleled expertise in a specific area of murder investigations. It gives the viewer a great insight into the process by using some of the latest forensic technology which allows the victims’ bodies to tell the truth. It has been a pleasure to work with Yeti and Dr Shepherd on this second season, and we look forward to sharing it with our audiences across all our services.”
