Calinos Entertainment’s international phenomenon “Forbidden Fruit” dominated its timeslot with its debut on Atresmedia’s Antena 3 on February 19, consolidating as “the best fiction premiere in a decade.”

Thanks to this show, among other content, Antena 3 has recorded 16 months of consecutive leadership in Spain. In fact, Antena 3 got the highest result in a year for the Monday to Friday afternoon timeslot (15%) and the biggest difference from its main competitor’s numbers in 17 years (+3.5 points).

After its premiere, the drama, which is locally known as “Pecado Original,” continues to meet its Spanish fans in the afternoon slot from Monday to Friday with similar success. Meanwhile, produced by Turkish company Medyapim, the original version continues to meet with its Turkish audience: now in its sixth season, the show is on air every Monday on Fox Turkey’s primetime.

In the series, Yıldız and Zeynep are two sisters who are very close but have very different characters and life goals. Yıldız’s life is about to take a new turn when she meets Ender Argun. Ender’s aim is to divorce her husband Halit, without losing her position within Istanbul’s high society circle as well as her financial status, so she comes up with a plan to set him up with a girl and consequently blame him for infidelity, which would get her a high compensation in court. The girl she’s looking for is no one else but Yıldız.
