Telefe, a brand owned by ViacomCBS, started 2022 in the lead with an average share of 43.50% and 7.86 rating points. The Argentinian channel has held onto the number one spot for 49 consecutive months, with the past 21 consecutive months surpassing an over 40% of share.
In the month's ranking, eight of the ten most watched programs were from Telefe: “MasterChef Celebrity” (51.58% share and 14.52 rating points), “MasterChef Celebrity, Gala de eliminación” (63.92% share and 13.90 rating points), “Fugitiva” (42.13% share and 12.14 rating points), “La previa de Por el Mundo” (39.31% share and 10.45 rating points), “Hercai” (52.54% share and 9.44 rating points), “Telefe Noticias” (42.97% share and 9.43 rating points), “Zuleyha” (47.56% share and 9.07 rating points), and “Por el mundo” (45.17% share and 8.79 rating points).
At the same time, January also saw the premiere of “Marley & Mirko” on “Paramount+ Presenta,” which was the leader of its timeslot with an average of 61.2% share and 5.8 rating points. Other outstanding programs in the month were “Flor de Equipo,” “El noticiero de la Gente,” “Corta por Lozano,” “Staff de Noticias,” and “Trato Hecho”.
In digital, mitelefe.com reached more than 7.8 million users and achieved 13.5 million video views. January also featured the premiere of a new edition of “MasterChef a la Carta,” hosted by Gastón Dalmau, which had over 148 million unique users and more than 190 million views on mitelefe.com, and accumulated over 15 million views on social networks. “Fugitiva” reached over 125.000 unique users and more than 500.000 views in one week on mitelefe.com, and garnered over 2.2 million views on social media. “Fugitiva’s” first episode was also the most viewed content in January on mitelefe.com.
