TELEFE REACHES 46.20% SHARE IN MAY, THE HIGHEST RATINGS IN HISTORY OF ARGENTINE TV

It obtained the highest average share in history with 46.20% and in terms of rating it exceeded double digits with 10.15 points, a fact that had not occurred since November 2016.

Telefe, a ViacomCBS free-to-air network, is #1 in ratings once again, achieving its highest average share in history with 46.20% and exceeding double digits ratings with 10.15 points, a feat that hasn’t happened since November 2016.

In addition, it obtained a difference of +3.54 rating points over its main competitor, the widest gap since March 2007. Telefe has held onto the #1 spot for 41 consecutive months, with the past 13 months, surpassing a 40% of share.

In 2021, Telefe leads the competition with 44.01% share and 8.71 rating points. It continues to be the most-watched free-to-air television network every day this year.

In May, Telefe led in every time slot: from 12 to 4 p.m. it captured obtained 39.26% share of television and 7.24 rating points; from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., 43.03% share and 8.42 rating points and from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. 52.99% share and 14.78 rating points.

Additionally, nine of the 10 most watched shows in May all aired on Telefe: "MasterChef Celebrity, Elimination Gala" – 74.19% share and 21.31 rating points; "MasterChef Celebrity" – 67.92% share and 20.31 rating points; "Doctor Milagro" – 50.66% share and 16.86 rating points; "Trato Hecho"–55.36% share and 14.19 rating points; "Fuerza De Mujer" (prime-time edition) – 52.13% share and 12.53 rating points; "PH, Podemos Hablar" – 52.12% share and 11.84 rating points; "Viaje Chef" – 72.07% share and 11.79 rating points; "Fuerza De Mujer" (afternoon edition) – h 51.79% share and 11.11 rating points; "Telefe Noticias" – 38.16% share and 10.33 rating points.

Telefe also dominated mornings with "Flor de Equipo", which led in its time slot with 36.51% share and 6.00 rating points, followed by El Noticiero de la Gente, which led with 38.86% share and 8.25 rating points.

In the afternoon timeslot, "Corta por Lozano" continued to be the audience's top choice with an average share of 38.14% and 8.11 rating points; in addition to the most compelling love stories: "Fuerza de Mujer", which was in the Top 10; "Züleyha" with 46.44% share and 9.18 rating points, "Guerra de Rosas" with 42.76% share and 8.85 rating points. "Pasapalabra", with Iván De Pineda delivering the most entertaining rounds of questions and answers, also led with a 39.30% share and 9.09 average rating points.

In primetime, "Telefe Noticias", "Doctor Milagro", "MasterChef Celebrity", and "Fuerza de Mujer" are among the Top 10 Most-Watched shows in Argentina, while Icerde continued to lead in its time slot with 43.72% share and 7.79 rating points. Rounding out the end of the day is "News Staff", which was also at #1 with 44.18 % share and 5.16 rating points. Telefe leads the four editions of its newscasts.

On weekends, Telefe also commanded the airwaves with the celebrity-edition of "Pasapalabra" with 44.17% share and 9.45 rating points, one of the top 10 most watched shows "PH, Podemos Hablar" with Andy Kusnetzoff and "La Peña de Morfi" 42.27% share and 5.97 rating points.

May 2021 saw the premiere of "Trato Hecho" (Deal or No Deal), one of the top five most watched shows of the month, with Lizy Tagliani, the humorous Roberto Moldavsky and million-dollar prizes. May also brought the premieres of "MasterChef Celebrity, Elimination Gala" and "Viaje Chef", which were ranked among the top 10.

This month Telefe.com reached more than 2.8 million users and 13 million views. The top three most viewed shows on the site were: "Doctor Milagro", "Fuerza de Mujer", and "MasterChef Celebrity", while Telefenoticias.com.ar reached more than 1.5 million users and 8 million views.

Other notable digital highlights include: the @telefe social media accounts added more than 258 million video views and @telefenoticias reached more than 63 million video views on their Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts.

#MasterchefArgentina achieved more than 303 million video views on social media and its spin-off, #AfterHour has accumulated 14 million video views in just seven episodes. 

In the month of its premiere, "Trato Hecho" garnered more than 1.2 million views with a on social media.

June is promising to be an even bigger month for Telefe with premieres that include: La Voz Argentina, hosted by Marley and with Ricardo Montaner, Lali, Soledad, and Mau y Ricky serving as coaches; things are heating up in anticipation of the grand finale MasterChef Celebrity; as well as the continuation of the most successful shows, the best love stories, newscasts and much more.
