The premiere of Mexican adaptation of "Mar Salgado," titled “El Amor Invencible,” debuted with great ratings. The first episode of this Juan Osorio’s production aired on February 20 on Televisa’s channel Las Estrellas, becoming the most watched primetime telenovela on free-to-air television, with 11.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen IBOPE Mexico. The first episode managed to beat its competition by 103%.
Written by Inês Gomes and starring Margarida Villa Nova and Ricardo Pereira, the telenovela follows the story of Leonor, a woman who struggles to find the daughter she thought had died during childbirth. This situation will push her to a love from the past.
Produced by SIC and SP Televisão, “Mar Salgado” has won several international awards, including the Intermedia-Globe Gold Award at World Media Festival and the Bronze Medal at 5th at New York Festivals - International TV & Film Awards.
